In Loving Memory of My Dear Father

My father dedicated his life to the country and his family.  In 1949, he moved to Taiwan with the government's relocation.  At that time, he held the rank of a Major and lived a worry-free life.  However, in 1958, a major flood changed everything.  The flood washed away our house, and we had to borrow money to keep going.  To support the family, my father entered the field of education.  He taught at multiple schools, working as a teacher during the day and writing articles at night to earn extra income.  Throughout his life, my father produced numerous works, including novels of different lengths, essays, and other literary works.  Even after retirement, instead of enjoying his time with his grandchildren, he started teaching calligraphy and Chinese painting classes, passing on his knowledge to others.  Today, his students can be found all over the world.  My father led a life of integrity, sacrificing everything for the family without a word of complaint.  Though he has been gone for many years, his memory remains engraved in my heart, and I am forever grateful to him.

"Ten Thousand Miles of Scenic Rivers and Mountains" is a painting created by my father to express his longing for his homeland.  His artwork is organized in a sequential layout according to the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter.  It has a length of 125 meters and a width of 1 meter.  I am grateful to the Maitreya Great Tao website for providing this platform to connect my father's artwork with people all around the world.  I believe that his spirit in heaven will be greatly fulfilled.
